Our story

How it all started

ScheduleLab started in 2016 with a bad registration day. Dominic Laudate spent hours trying to piece together a schedule that actually worked, but still came up short. That night he built a small tool that could generate valid schedules on its own.

Later that year, he and his friend Jake Harrington turned it into an Android app called College Schedule Builder. They showed it in class as a final project and realized pretty quickly they weren't the only ones who needed it. A month later it was on iOS, and over the next year students at schools across the country started using it for the same reason: registration is a mess, and there had to be a better way.

By 2017, more students were using it every week. Wentworth Institute of Technology's Accelerate program noticed and awarded them funding to keep building. That helped even more students find the app, on campuses in the U.S. and abroad.

In 2020, Dominic and Jordan Carter relaunched College Schedule Builder as ScheduleLab. Better app, clearer name, same goal: make registration less painful.

In 2026, ScheduleLab Pro was launched to make the registration process even better.

Ten years after that first bad registration day, ScheduleLab is still built around the same idea: registration shouldn't be a stressful and time-consuming experience.
